Logos Olori Reveals Why Davido Works Like He Has No Money

Nigerian singer Logos Olori has opened up about Davido’s work ethic, describing the Afrobeats star as an artist who continues to work with the drive of someone who has nothing to fall back on.

Olori, who is signed to Davido Music Worldwide, shared the insight during a recent episode of the Wahala Podcast, where he discussed his journey in the Nigerian music industry and his experience working with Davido.

Why Davido Keeps Working

According to Logos Olori, Davido’s passion for music and the competition within the industry continue to motivate him.

He said Davido works extremely hard despite coming from a wealthy background and suggested that financial gain is not the main reason behind his continued involvement in music.

Olori described Davido as a passionate artist who appears to make music because he genuinely enjoys it.

Logos Olori’s Journey to DMW

Olori also revealed how his connection with Davido eventually led to him joining DMW.

He said he contributed to the writing of Davido’s hit song Unavailable, which became an important turning point in his career.

According to Olori, his involvement in the song eventually resulted in him being signed to Davido Music Worldwide.

From Dubai Back to Nigeria

Before pursuing music full-time in Nigeria, Olori said he had been living comfortably in Dubai.

He eventually returned to Nigeria to focus on his music career and began working more closely with producers and other artists.

He recalled spending time in Ikorodu with producers Magicsticks and Rage before an opportunity to work with Davido emerged.

Olori said Magicsticks later contacted him about a chance to work on music for Davido, which eventually contributed to his involvement in Unavailable.

More Than a Record Deal

Olori’s comments also shed light on how collaborations and songwriting can create opportunities for emerging Nigerian artists.

His work on Unavailable helped connect him with Davido, eventually leading to his DMW deal and further opportunities as an artist.

The singer has since continued building his own career while remaining associated with Davido’s music platform.

For Olori, the experience has also given him an opportunity to observe the work habits of one of Nigeria’s most prominent Afrobeats artists.
